- Write your script or hire a freelancer to help get the ideas you are looking to include in the video in the clearest way. Also, What length your video should be to include all of the information.
- Determine your budget. How much are you prepared to spend on the project. Keep in mind there are preproduction, production and post production cost. Once you determine what you can spend don’t get overzealous with the project.
- Get to the important aspect of your message early in the video. Most people have short attention spans.
- Create a production schedule. Determine what you need to videotape, the locations, people needed and dates for the shoot.
- Creating a video is a daunting task. Is it worth it? Remember this, people retain 20% of what they hear, 30% of what they see and 70% of what they hear and see. So video is worth the money and the effort.
