Shooting a Presentation

                                               Videotaping Presentation

Here are some pointers to help the videotaping and editing process.  I know that some of them can’t be helped but to get the best product possible in as little time as possible these may help.

The presenters power point slides’ wording should be no smaller than 22pts. If he needs more PP slides that works okay.

It’s okay if the presenter walks around but within a certain area.  If the presenters walks too close to the cameras or walks to a point that is even with the camera he will be out of focus.

It’s best if the presenter stays on one side of the projector so he doesn’t walk through the slide presentation.

If there is Q&A, if possible, have the audience write down questions to be answered at the end of the presentation.  That will take hours off the edit time.

If there are audience questions we should put mics on the table so the questions can be heard.

If there is editing that needs performed we can send you a drive with timecode burns on the video so that you can tell us when to stop and start the presentation and what parts to edit out.

It will look like this.

All of this will help keep the videos looking nicer and the costs to a minimum.
